The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is all set to address a public gathering today in Paliganj, Bihar. The event is aimed at connecting with people from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Backward Classes (EBC) ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This marks Shah's first visit to Bihar since the new government formed in January 2024 under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's leadership.

Shah's scheduled appearance in Paliganj, near Patna, is expected to bolster support for the BJP across five Lok Sabha constituencies, namely Patliputra, Arrah, Patna Sahib, Jahanabad, and Hajipur. The event, organized by the Bihar BJP OBC Morcha, has seen meticulous planning by party workers to ensure its success.

Sanjeev Kumar Chaurasia, the General Secretary of Bihar BJP OBC Morcha, expressed enthusiasm for Shah's visit, highlighting the anticipated turnout and the Home Minister's role as an inspiration. He emphasized Shah's guidance in propelling the party forward and expressed confidence in the NDA winning all 40 seats in Bihar under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Mukesh Kumar Patel, also a General Secretary of Bihar BJP OBC Morcha, praised Prime Minister Modi's efforts in uplifting backward communities and credited Home Minister Amit Shah for his leadership. He underlined the importance of seeking guidance from Shah to secure a significant victory for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During his one-day visit to Bihar, Amit Shah is slated to unveil the statue of veteran BJP leader Kailashpati Mishra at the ICAR Building premises in Patna's Jagdev Path.

Prior to his Bihar engagement, Shah held a late-night meeting on Friday with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to discuss seat-sharing for the impending Lok Sabha polls. The meeting, held in New Delhi, involved deliberations on the seat-sharing formula within the Mahayuti Alliance in Maharashtra, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, and the Nationalist Congress Party-Ajit Pawar faction. BJP National President JP Nadda and state president Praful Patel were also part of the discussions, indicating a concerted effort to strategize for the upcoming elections.
