The stars are expressing grief by sharing posts on social media. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has also expressed grief on social media. He has paid tribute to Puneet.

Amitabh Bachchan shared a post on social media saying that he is in shock over Puneet's sudden departure. Tell you Puneet was 46 years old and the son of late actor Rajkumar. He has made a special mark with movies like 'Appu', 'Veera Kannadaiga' and 'Maurya'. Amitabh Bachchan said in a post on his blog that he is deeply saddened by the death of his two close friends Puneet and a family friend. He wrote, "Two close loved ones died today. You cannot put sorrow into words. The news of one is shocking.’’

He wrote, "Puneet Rajkumar, the younger son of veteran Kannada film superstar Rajkumar and a star in himself, passed away today. He was only 46 years old and it shocks us all. Rajkumar's family has always been very close. Prayers and condolences from me. Bachchan said in the blog that the other close one who died was the mother of a family friend.''
