Lucknow: Upset over being denied a ticket for the post of MP, a BJP leader consumed poison on Sunday night. Due to which his condition worsened. In a hurry, the relatives admitted him to the local private hospital. Where his condition remains critical. He had applied to contest the post of councillor from ward number 27.

It is alleged that his name was on the list of candidates issued by the BJP leadership, but his name was removed when the list was revised at the local level. BJP leader Mukesh Saxena, alias Nate Bhai, lives in Mohalla Mandi Choub of Amroha Nagar. He has been associated with the party for a long time. He had applied to contest the election for the post of councillor in Ward 27. After which, the list of candidates for the posts of president and councillor was released by the BJP leadership on Sunday. It is alleged that his name was included in the first list of ward councillors, but suddenly his name was removed from the second list on Sunday evening.

Later, the revised list was posted on social media by BJP leaders. When BJP leader Mukesh Saxena, alias Nate Bhai, got the news of the ticket cancellation, he was hurt. After some time, he consumed poison. His condition worsened in a short time. After which, his family and supporters took him to a private hospital in the city. Where his condition remains critical. BJP's District General Secretary Rakesh Verma has confirmed that he consumed poison after getting hurt due to the ticket being cut.
