Tirupati:  In a bizarre incident, a newlywed woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving in Tirupati, Karnataka, was submerged in sludge On Friday, according to police.

As per the police, seven family members, including the new bride, were driving to the Lord Venkateshwara Temple in Tirupati when the accident occurred near a bridge near the church. The rescued child has been transported to a government hospital for treatment after SV University police managed to rescue six people, including a child. The Tirupati Police have registered a complaint and opened an investigation.

Last month, in a similar incident, Two women including a bride died in Vikarabad district after their car with four other occupants, including the groom, was swept away while the vehicle was crossing a bridge, with a nearby tank overflowing following heavy rains in the area.
