Corona infection is spreading even after effective steps like lockdown in India. At the same time, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved the CBI investigation into alleged corruption in various schemes during the tenure of the Chandrababu Naidu government. It is alleged that corruption caused loss of crores of rupees to the state exchequer during the tenure of the Chandrababu government. The recommendation of the Subcommittee of the Cabinet was approved in the State Cabinet meeting on Thursday chaired by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

For your information, let us tell you that the Subcommittee of the Cabinet headed by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath has done preliminary investigation of the schemes like Chandranna gift, Chandranna Christmas gift, Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka and AP Fibernet project and submitted its report. Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Venkataramaiya said that the Cabinet approved the report of the Subcommittee and decided to conduct a detailed investigation with the CBI. One minister claimed that 150 crore rupees were shed in various Utsavi gift schemes of the former government.

Apart from this, there was a hearing in the Supreme Court on Wednesday in the matter of reducing the tenure of the Andhra Pradesh Election Commissioner. With this came the statement of senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu. He said that the court has not given a decision in the state election commissioner case, only refused to be in favor of the state government. The same, while addressing the press conference on Wednesday, he said that the court has asked the respondents to file counter, and the hearing will follow. Ambati Babu said that since morning a section of media has been running such reports that the court order is in favor of N. Ramesh Kumar and against the state government. At the same time, the court has adjourned the hearing for the next 4 weeks and the court will give its verdict only after hearing the arguments of both the parties. He further said that such propaganda has been started by the pro-TDP media as if the decision has come and it is against the government.
