Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Venkataramaiya said that the Cabinet approved the report of the Subcommittee and decided to conduct a detailed investigation with the CBI. One minister claimed that 150 crore rupees were shed in various Utsavi gift schemes of the former government.

Apart from this, there was a hearing in the Supreme Court on Wednesday in the matter of reducing the tenure of the Andhra Pradesh Election Commissioner. With this came the statement of senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu. He said that the court has not given a decision in the state election commissioner case, only refused to be in favor of the state government.
