ANDHRA PRASDESH-TIRUPATI:  Atleast 7 persons were killed and 14 others seriously injured in a horrific road accident at the toll plaza of Musunuru  on the National Highway in  Andhra's Nellore district.

The incident, occurring around 2 am, resulted from a collision between a truck carrying cattle to Srikalahasti and another truck transporting iron. According to authorities, the truck laden with iron rear-ended the cattle truck, causing it to veer into the path of the oncoming bus.

Hearing the loud crash, toll plaza staff and bystanders hurried to the spot of the accident. Police teams also arrived promptly and initiated rescue efforts. The injured were extracted from the badly damaged vehicles and transported to the district hospital.

Venkata Ramana, the sub-divisional police officer of Kavali, stated that four individuals lost their lives at the scene, with an additional three succumbing to injuries at Nellore government hospital. A case has been filed under IPC Section 304 in connection with the accident.

Expressing deep sorrow and condolences, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer conveyed his sympathies to the affected families. A statement released from Raj Bhavan highlighted the governor's profound grief over the tragic mishap.
