Corona weakens in Andaman and Nicobar, not a single patient died in last 24 hours

Port Blair: The number of infected people in the islands increased to 7,425 after 10 new cases of corona infection were reported in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to a bulletin issued by the health department on Wednesday, two of the 10 people found positive had recently travelled and the other eight were found infected in order to identify people exposed to infected people.

The health department said not a single patient has died of infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll in the state currently remains at 127. On the other hand, the number of people who have been freed from infection in the Union Territory has increased to 7,195 after four people were recovered. Currently 103 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands administration has so far conducted corona checks on more than 4.03 lakh people. The positivity rate here is 1.84 per cent. More than 1.40 lakh people have been vaccinated against corona in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands so far.

According to data released by the Health Ministry, the total number of infected cases has gone up to 300,28,709 after 50,848 new cases of corona virus were reported. The total number of deaths after 1,358 new deaths has reached 390,660. Within the last 24 hours, the total discharge has increased to 2,89,94,855 after 68,817 new discharges. The total number of active cases in the country is 6,43,194.
