Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh has recently responded to the ED summons. Under the information received, he has made it clear in his reply that "he will not be present for ED's interrogation. In fact, Recently Anil Deshmukh has written to the ED and in this letter he has mentioned about the application filed in the court. At the same time, he asked them to wait for the court's verdict. In fact, the ED had summoned him last Saturday and called him for questioning today (July 5).

Last Sunday, Anil Deshmukh's lawyer Indrapal Singh informed that Anil Deshmukh has moved the Supreme Court for protection from the ED action. He said he has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. With this, Anil Deshmukh's lawyers will now seek an early hearing from the Supreme Court today. There are reports that the petition filed by Anil Deshmukh has demanded that the Supreme Court direct the ED not to make any concrete action against him.
