Trilok Chand Raina, the father of former Indian team player Suresh Raina, passed away on Sunday. Trilokchand had been battling cancer for a long time. He breathed his last at his residence in Ghaziabad. Trilok Chand Raina was part of the Indian Army and had mastered the making of bombs. By the way, Raina's father's native village 'Ranwari' is present in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. His father left the village after the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. Thereafter, the family settled in Muradnagar town.

Suresh Raina's father's monthly income was Rs 10,000, in such a way, he was unable to pay his son a high cricket coaching fee. Trilok Chand's troubles soon got over, when in 1998, Raina was admitted to The Guru Gobind Singh Sports College in Lucknow in 1998. In one of his interviews, Suresh Raina had said that his father used to take care of the families of the jawans who had passed away. They helped these families financially. He took care that they got the facilities they deserved.

Suresh Raina retired from international cricket in the year 2020. Raina scored 768 runs in 18 Test matches with a century. The middle-order player took part in 226 One-Day Internationals for the Indian team. Due to this, Raina scored 5615 runs, which included five centuries. Raina has 1604 runs to his name in 78 T20 Internationals.
