New Delhi [India], Feb 6: Shortly after Anupam Kher said his Twitter account had been hacked, it emerged that Ram Madhav's account too had been been hacked, with various messages on latter's timeline posted in Turkish language. The Big Sick actor said he received a link from Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta in a direct message, a first ever from him on Monday, which he clicked upon. Kher, 62, who is currently in Los Angeles, said he got to know about the breach from his friends in India and has alerted the micro blogging site about the incident.

In what seems to be a concerted hacking of Twitter handles sympathetic to the BJP, the accounts of veteran actor Anupam Kher, senior BJP leader Ram Madhav, and Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta were hacked today.

Hackers have identified themselves from Turkey. Calling themselves Turkish ‘cyber army’, the hackers tweeted messages from Kher’s Twitter handle that confirmed the cyber crime. ‘My Twitter account has been hacked. Just got few calls from friends in India about it. I am in Los Angeles right now and it is 1 am here. Have spoken to Twitter already about this,’ Kher was quoted as saying by news agency
