Actor Arjun Rampal on Monday reached the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai to appear before the agency in a drug case lodged following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Earlier, Rampal had sought time till December 21 to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau. He was summoned by the anti-drug agency to appear before it on December 16.

Notably, Arjun Rampal was interrogated by the NCB on November 13 in the matter. NCB officials had on November 9 conducted a raid at the residence of Arjun Rampal and detained some electronic gadgets. Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades was later questioned for six hours on the same day.

Emerging from the probing, Rampal told before media that he had given the agency a prescription. Possession of Tramadol, a powerful painkiller, is banned in India without a prescription. An NCB official said that the agency was verifying the veracity of the prescription.
