India's No. 4 Grand Master Arjun Arigasi, 18, has also been seeded top in Menorca International Chess and has managed to get off to a good start by winning the first two rounds. Arjun defeated hosts Spain's Luis Pablo in the first round and Alinsab Mobina of Israel in the second round.
However, just before the selection of the Indian team for the upcoming Chess Olympiad to be held on May 1, most Indian players have to work on improving their world rankings.
