New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane said on Wednesday that the Indian Army is committed to maintaining peace and stability along the country's borders and is on alert and fully prepared for any possible threat. Referring to the changes in the way wars are fought today, he said that the army has increased its efficiency with new weapons and modern equipment.

Let us inform that Army Chief Naravane was addressing four parachute battalions after conferring the prestigious 'President's Colours' here. It is also known as 'Nishan' honor in the army. The Army Chief said that the Indian Army is going through a challenging phase today. You are well aware of the developments going on on our borders. The army is committed to maintaining peace and stability along the border. I definitely want to say that we are alert and ready for any possible threat.

He further said that there have been many changes in the field of war. There have been many changes in the use of weapons and how battles are fought. He said that the army has increased its efficiency with new weapons and modern equipment. This process of change is going on, but in the last two to three years these efforts have gained new intensity and momentum.
