New Delhi: It is always said that The soil of India does not produce fast bowlers who instil fear in the batsmen. But the fire-spewing inswing of the Indian fast bowler we are going to talk about today had made many batsmen kneel and scattered their bails. We are talking about 'Mysore Express' famous Javagal Srinath, who is also the Indian bowler who has played the most World Cup matches.

Javagal Srinath was born on August 31, 1969, in the Mysore district of Karnataka. He took a degree in instrument engineering and later spread his magic on the cricket field.  Srinath also set an Indian record of playing the most World Cups in his career. He holds the record for playing the most World Cup matches as an Indian bowler.  He was part of the 50-50 World Cup team in 1992, 1996, 1999 and 2003.  Srinath played a total of 34 matches in the World Cup.  Above him comes the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who was included in Team India for a record 45 World Cup matches. However, the Indian record as a bowler is recorded in the name of Srinath. He took 44 wickets in the World Cup, which is the highest for any Indian bowler.

He had made up his mind to retire from international cricket in 2002, but then at the behest of Sourav Ganguly, he also played in the 2003 World Cup. Srinath lived up to the expectations of Ganguly and Indian cricket fans even at that time and took the most wickets for India while playing in the 2003 World Cup. Srinath played 67 Tests and 229 ODIs in his career. He has 236 wickets in Tests and a total of 315 wickets in ODIs. Apart from this, he also took 533 wickets in 147 first-class matches.
