New Delhi: Veteran BJP leader and Union Minister Sushma Swaraj was born on February 14, 1952, in Ambala Cantonment in Haryana, she was a great politician as well as a great speaker. She had a bachelor's degree in Sanskrit and Political Science from the Sanatan Dharma College in Ambala. In 1970, she received the award of the best student in her college. Sushma Swaraj was also elected as the NCC's best cadet of SD College Cantonment for three years and the best speaker of the state for three years. After this, she also studied law at Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Sushma Swaraj from Panjab University was also honoured with the honour of the supreme speaker in 1973. In 1973, at the age of 21, Sushma started working as an advocate in the Supreme Court of the country. On July 13, 1975, she took 7 vows with Swaraj Kaushal and tied the knot. Swaraj was also her colleague and fellow lawyer in the Supreme Court. Sushma Swaraj holds the record of becoming a cabinet minister at the age of 25. At the age of 27, she had also become the president of the BJP's state unit in Haryana.  

Sushma was elected to the Rajya Sabha for the first time in 1990 and to the 11th Lok Sabha for the first time in 1996. Sushma was given charge of the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry in the 13-day government of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Along with this, Sushma is also honoured to become the first woman CM of Delhi. Sushma Swaraj passed away on 6th August 2019 due to cardiac arrest and a shining star of Indian politics went away from us forever.
