New Delhi: Three attempts were made to kill Sanjay Gandhi, son of former PM Indira Gandhi, during the emergency. An English newspaper quoted Wikileaks as revealing in this regard. WikiLeaks claims that Sanjay Gandhi was fired three times on August 30 or 31, 1976, although he sustained minor injuries in the attack.

The revelation, quoted by Wikileaks, states that an attack on Sanjay Gandhi was then carried out by high-power rifles. Sanjay Gandhi was on a visit to Uttar Pradesh at that time. The disclosures are claimed to be based on inputs received from the intelligence department.
However, he died at the age of 34 due to a plane crash on June 23, 1980.

Earlier, Wikileaks had also made a shocking revelation about former PM and Indira Gandhi's second son Rajiv Gandhi. Wikileaks had alleged that Rajiv Gandhi worked as an agent for a Swedish company while working in Indian Airlines. According to this report, he was in the company Saab Scania in Sweden. The company wanted to sell fighter jets to India. However, the deal could not be reached. British company Jaguar won that race.
