New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is now afraid of his deputy Manish Sisodia going to jail and has started opposing a possible probe against Sisodia from now on. In fact, Kejriwal has termed the allegations against deputy CM Manish Sisodia over the new excise duty as baseless. Kejriwal said, "We are not afraid of jail and hanging.'' The Delhi CM said that Manish Sisodia is a hardcore honest and patriotic man.
He further said "We had said three to four months ago that these people are going to arrest Manish Sisodia. We were told by their people that Manish Sisodia would be arrested." When we asked their people in which case he would be arrested. So their people said that there is no case, the case is being searched. In fact, after allegations of a scam in the Arvind Kejriwal government's controversial liquor policy in Delhi, it has come to light that a CBI probe has been conducted into it. Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Saxena has recommended a CBI probe. The recommendation has been made after LG V K Saxena went through the chief secretary's report. Interestingly, the report also questioned the role of Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
At the same time, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla has also reacted sharply to Kejriwal's allegations. Poonawalla said that Arvind Kejriwal first called Jitender Tomar as hardcore honest, then Satyendra Jain as hardcore honest. The BJP leader said, "Now I am presenting the report card of the school of the new hardcore honest.'' Poonawalla claimed that no new school was built in Delhi. There are no principals in 800 schools.
