New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister, will visit Punjab for three days from December 30 to January 1, according to the AAP.  On December 30, he will lead the AAP's 'Victory March' in Chandigarh to commemorate his party's victory in the civic elections.

In the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, the AAP made a strong showing, winning 14 of the 35 seats and pushing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to second place.

On December 31, Kejriwal would begin his journey in Patiala by garlanding Mahatma Gandhi's statue at 2 p.m., after which he will visit Shri Kali Devi shrine to offer his prayers.

Following that, the AAP convenor will lead a "Shanti March" (peace march) in which the party's senior leader Bhagwant Mann will also participate.   After that, Kejriwal would pay his respects at Gurdwara Sri Dukhvaran Sahib.  On the last day of his visit, Kejriwal will pay a visit to Amritsar's Ram Tirath Temple.

The Delhi Chief Minister has been visiting Punjab on a regular basis in the run-up to the 2022 Assembly elections. Punjab is poised to hold assembly elections early next year.
