Lucknow: In order to improve the education system of madrassas, the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered all the district magistrates of the state to conduct a survey of unrecognized madrassas, so that a decision can be taken on their recognition. But AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is also looking at this through the anti-Muslim prism and has targeted the state government.

Owaisi, MP from Hyderabad, has said that you (government) directly order that you are no longer a Muslim. This is what you are trying to do, this survey is a small NRC. Owaisi has claimed that these madrasas have liberated the country, today you are looking at them with suspicion. Owaisi has also alleged that even the Hindus who are teaching English and Mathematics in Madrasas have not received their salary for two years. At the same time, Iftikhar Ahmed Javed, president of UP Madrasa Education Council, says that apart from 16,513 recognized madrasas, a survey will be conducted to know how many madrasas are operating in the state without recognition. The survey team will be constituted soon.

He said that for the last 7 years, the UP Madrasa Board has not given recognition to any new madrasas. The population of the state is naturally large in these 7 years. Due to the closure of recognition, new madrasas are not able to join the board. Due to this, the government has taken a big decision and has decided to conduct a survey of madrasas, due to which it is now being speculated that new madrassas can also be recognized in the state as per the requirement.
