New Delhi: The discussion on the demand for caste certificates and religion certificates in the recruitment scheme to be held under the Agniveer scheme has intensified and now amidst all this, the army has denied the allegations and made it clear that in any recruitment in the army, earlier also, the candidates were asked for caste certificates and religion certificates. Yes, and he also said that there has been no change in the Agnipath scheme. In fact, all opposition MPs, including Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, had targeted the Modi government by questioning the Agnipath scheme. Sharing the order related to the recruitment process, he wrote, "The poor face of the Modi government has come before the country. Does Narendra Modi not consider the backward, Dalits and Adivasis worthy to join the army, for the first time in India's history, caste is being asked in army recruitment. Modi has to make you Agniveer, or Jativeer.''

On the other hand, the BJP had hit back at these allegations. In fact, BJP social media head Amit Malviya hit back at Sanjay Singh's allegations, saying, "The Army in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court in 2013 had made it clear that it does not recruit on the basis of caste, region and religion. For administrative convenience and operational requirements, it justifies the placing of a group of people coming from a region in a regiment.''

Apart from this, Amit Malviya further wrote, "This craze to blame PM Modi for everything means that people like Sanjay Singh put their feet in their mouths every day. The regimental system of the army has existed since the time of the British. After independence, it was formalized in 1949 through a special army order. The Modi government has not changed anything in this.''
