Politics in Assam is gaining momentum every now and then. Ahead of the BTC election, Assam chief minister Sarbananada Sonowal, finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Assam BJP president will visit the state-level executive committee meeting of the ST Morcha at Kokrajhar. For the first time, the Kokrajhar district committee of the BJP is going to host the state-level executive committee meeting of ST Morcha from October 12-14 at Kokrajhar Govt. HS & MP School playground in Kokrajhar district.

Talking to media persons at the BJP party office here on Saturday, Bibhuti Borgoyari, president of the Kokrajhar district BJP unit, who is also No 8 Dotma constituency BJP candidate, notified that a large number of BJP leaders from different districts of Assam will be participating in the three-day event. Borgoyari told that a special executive committee meeting of the BJP Kokrajhar district unit will also be held on October 12, the first day of the event at the same venue.

State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass will grace the function as chief guest while finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will attend the program on October 13 and 14 respectively as chief guests. A strong reception committee has been constituted in this connection for smooth conduct of the event, he said. Preparations are on for holding the state-level organizational meeting of the BJP at Kokrajhar.
