Assam CM laid foundation stone for Two Stadiums

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal to strengthen the sports infrastructure of the state has laid foundation stones for Chabua Sports Association Stadium and an indoor stadium at Chabua in Dibrugarh. The signature project 2018-19 agrees to built Chabua Sports Association at a cost of INR 9.88 crore.

The indoor stadium would be built from the State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD) funds at a cost of Rs. 2.33 crore. The CM said, state is working for the all-round development of the state under the motto of hte PM 'sabka sath, sabka vikash, sabka viswas'. The present state government is working hard to strengthen the bond of unity between all the sections of the society and is working constantly towards fulfilling the promises it made during the election manifesto whereas the previous Congress government, holds power for long term weakened the society by resorting to divisive politics, said CM.

CM has highlighted the tremendous step by the government of providing land pattas to landless people as a strong measure to sustain the indigenous people's control over the state and safeguard their interests and the construction of six new bridges over the Brahmaputra, setting up of national institutes like IARI at Gogamukh and AIIMS at Changsari, establishing NID at Jorhat etc. are made only after Prime Minister Modi assumed power.
