Ayodhya: Preparations for the consecration of Ram Lala are progressing rapidly at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, scheduled to commence on January 17, 2024. A week-long series of events is planned, and deadlines have been set for various projects leading up to the inauguration. As part of these preparations, a trial was conducted before the opening of the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, where an aircraft successfully landed on the runway.

The inauguration of Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport (Ayodhya Airport) is set for December 30, with the first flight from Delhi scheduled to land on the same day. Indigo, the airline company, is set to commence air services from Ayodhya, connecting to Delhi and Ahmedabad in the initial phase. This marks Ayodhya as the 86th domestic destination for the airline, with the flight from Delhi to Ayodhya covering the distance in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Efforts are underway to facilitate transportation for devotees visiting Ayodhya. Additionally, Ayodhya is set to receive a gift in the form of a world-class railway station, with the completion of the first phase of construction costing Rs 240 crore. The railway station complex, spanning 10 thousand square meters, is expected to be one of the most beautiful and modern facilities in the country, with completion scheduled by December 31, 2023.

In anticipation of the increased influx of devotees for the consecration of Lord Shri Ram at the Ram temple on January 22, 2024, arrangements are being made to ensure the convenience of transportation. Electric buses will be provided for devotees to visit Ayodhya from various parking places.
