President Ram Nath Kovind who is on a tour of Ayodhya on Sunday, in a recent statement said that 'Without Ram, Ayodhya is not Ayodhya.' The town is all about Lord Ram as he worshipped Ram Lalla in the makeshift temple.

The President on tour to Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the Ramayan Conclave in Ayodhya where the temple is being constructed. President Kovind in his statement added that "Ayodhya exists where there is Ram. Lord Ram resides permanently in this city, and hence in the true sense, this place is Ayodhya.” The President will visit the Ram Janmabhoomi construction site later in the day as well. Kovind said that Lord Ram acted as a unifying force and brought together Kols, Bheels, Vaanars, and other tribes to form his ‘army’. He said that he formed connections with tribals and that he did not call the troops of Ayodhya and Mithila to fight the battle during his exile. The President also unveiled a Ramayana conclave postal cover. He said that Ayodhya will continue to be significant since it was seen to be an "unconquerable" city owing to the "courage and might of Raghuvanshi kings Raghu, Dileep, Aj, Dashrath, and Ram."

The Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya was also visited by President Ram Nath Kovind, First Lady Savita Kovind, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, both Deputy Chief Ministers, and Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Union Minister of State for Railways and Textiles also accompanied them.
