Ahead of the grand consecration ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has unveiled the image of the Lord Ram statue set to be placed at the temple.

Sharing the news on social media, the minister announced, "The idol for the Prana Pratishtapana of Lord Rama in Ayodhya has been selected. Crafted by the esteemed sculptor Yogiraj Arun from our country, this idol of Lord Rama will grace the temple grounds."

Accompanying his announcement was a photograph of sculptor Yogiraj standing proudly next to the idol of Lord Ram.

Expressing her joy, Yogiraj's mother said, "This is an incredibly joyous moment for us. I had hoped to witness him carve and shape Ram Lalla, but he assured me he'd reveal the idol to me on the final day. So, I eagerly await the grand installation of the idol at the Ram Temple to finally lay my eyes upon it."

Scheduled for January 22 at 12:20 pm, the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Nadir is eagerly awaited. The Trust member confirmed that all three idols of Ramlala are prepared for the occasion.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the public to light special 'diyas' in their homes on January 22, akin to celebrating 'Diwali,' to mark the auspicious day of 'pran pratishtha' at the Ram temple. His recent visit to the temple town on December 30 involved a roadshow, inauguration of the revamped Ayodhya railway station and new airport, along with initiating several other projects.

Notably, on August 5, 2020, PM Modi conducted the 'Bhoomipujan' ceremony in Ayodhya, marking the commencement of the temple's construction.

In a separate incident, Karnataka police have arrested a person in connection to the Babri Masjid demolition riots case after 31 years.

The Supreme Court's landmark 2019 verdict resolved a contentious issue spanning over a century by endorsing the construction of a Ram temple by a trust at the disputed Ayodhya site. The ruling also mandated the allocation of an alternative five-acre plot for a mosque in the Hindu holy town.
