NEW DELHI: SP MP Azam Khan has apologised for making objectionable remarks against BJP MP Rama Devi in the Lok Sabha. Azam has called Rama Devi his sister during the proceedings of the House on Monday. On this, Rama Devi said that your habit has become excessively impaired. You should get rid of this habit.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha proceedings, Om Birla had a meeting with Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan in his office. Rama Devi was also present in this.
It may be mentioned that Azam made a controversial remark on presiding officer Rama Devi on July 25. Azam had said in the House, "I have already said that she is like my sister. I have no such feeling towards the her and i can never be. Entire Parliament knows My conduct, but still if anybody feels that I have committed a mistake, I am sorry for that. ''
On the other hand, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, "This House belongs to everybody. It goes by the consent of everybody. I request everybody to look at the Chair when ire. No word which spoils the image of the House should not be said. It should be our endeavour to maintain the dignity. ''
