New Delhi: The states of North India are now expected to get respite from the scorching heat of the sun with the change of weather. Due to the fresh western disturbance, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a dust storm, lightning, and light to heavy rain in many areas of North India today, i.e., on April 19. The Meteorological Department has shown through a cloud map in which areas of North India the conditions for rain are being created.
According to IMD, today's (Wednesday) conditions are favourable for light to moderate rains over Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, there are chances of heavy rain, thunder, lightning, strong winds, and hail in some places in these states. With the change in the weather, a drop in temperature will be recorded, and relief from the heat is expected. The local Meteorological Department of Himachal Pradesh has also expressed the possibility of light to heavy rain and thunderstorms. According to IMD Himachal Pradesh, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue at most places in the state for the next 2 to 3 hours. There is a possibility of heavy rain or hailstorms and strong winds in different parts of the state.
If we talk about Delhi, then strong winds with dust have been blowing here since morning. Due to which relief has been received in the heat. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of thunderstorms with rain in Delhi today. Talking about the temperature, today the minimum temperature can be 22 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can fall to 38 degrees Celsius, which was recorded at 40 degrees yesterday. Let us inform you that the Western Disturbance is active as of the evening of April 15th. Due to which, the weather has changed in the whole of North India, and after the fall in the temperature, the weather has remained pleasant. However, its effect will be seen only until April 20. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is possible in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh today. At the same time, there may be snowfall in one or two places in the upper regions of these regions. Scattered rain or a light drizzle is also likely over parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Kerala.
