Ahmadabad: Gujarat has seen a dual policy of the Vijay Rupani government over the corona epidemic. On one hand, a ban has been imposed on celebrating the prevention of corona infection on the occasion of Holi. On the other hand, the state government has kept the Statue of Unity open to tourists with the aim of promoting tourism. Normally, it is kept closed to people for maintenance on Monday. But this time it has been kept open because of Holi, so that more and more people come here.

Earlier, Gujarat government deputy CM Nitin Patel had issued a message on Holi saying that the people of Gujarat can only celebrate Holika Dahan, with limited people. But the festival of colors cannot be celebrated as Holi. Nitin Patel said that we will allow Holika to be burnt with righteousness at the festival of Holi Dhulandi, but no one will be allowed to paint each other at the festival of Holi, the gathering of many people simultaneously under any circumstances. Religiously, only Holika Dahan will be approved. It can also be gathered in sobering people.

The state government has imposed night curfew in four cities of Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara to prevent the spread of corona infection. But the tent whistle on the Statue of Unity continues to be booked. These bookings are getting more than normal days. Also, special packages are being provided for Holi celebrations in hotels nearby. Because of this, many tourists are booking this package.
