New Delhi: Bangladesh and Bhutan also decided to not attend the Saarc Summit after a day India said that it will boycott the annual gathering of the South Asian leaders which was to be held in Pakistan.

On Tuesday, New Delhi proclaimed that it was dragging out of the 19th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) Summit programmed to be held in Islamabad in November. The reason behind pulling out is because of the Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that left 18 soldiers dead.

As per the sources, “Dhaka has conveyed to current Saarc chair Nepal growing interference in the internal affairs of Bangladesh by one country”.

Due to the current state of affairs, Bhutan also expressed inability to participate in the summit.
