Former Japanese PRIME Minister Shinzo Abe has passed away. On Friday morning, he was shot while delivering a speech, after which he succumbed to his injuries due to treatment. World leaders, including PM Narendra Modi, have expressed grief over Abe's death. Shinzo Abe has been attacked by a man named Tetsuya Yamagami, who is said to be an ex-serviceman. Police nabbed Yamagami immediately after the attack and recovered the weapon used in the murder.

Now due to police interrogation, the attacker has revealed the motive behind this murder. According to the report, the attacker was angry with Shinzo Abe and targeted him for expressing his disagreement. Let me tell you that Abe was attacked with a country-made gun and was shot from close range. The Nara police have arrested Yamagami for attempted murder and it has been reported that the attacker had served in the Marine Self-Defence Force for three years in the year 2000. Police are interrogating the attacker and explosives have also been seized from his house.

Soon after being shot, 67-year-old Abe was taken to the hospital by a special plane but was not breathing at the time. The attack in Japan, considered one of the safest countries in the world, is shocking because there are strict laws against gun control and it is considered very difficult to get an arms license. PM Fumio Kishida described the attack as cowardly and barbaric and said that the perpetrators of the incident caused by the election campaign will be severely penalised.
