After the partition of Pakistan and India, Vinod Khanna shifted to Mumbai with his family. After this, his life was spent living in Mumbai. Vinod Khanna's dream was to become an engineer but he was not interested in studies. When someone told him about the theatre, he joined the theatre. At that time he was in college. During the theatre, Vinod Khanna met Geetanjali, who was his first wife. 

Vinod Khanna made his Bollywood debut with the film 'Mann Ka Meet'. The first film was not much of a hit at the box office. After this he had signed 15 films together. All his films started becoming hits. Meanwhile, Vinod Khanna became a father. Then they had two children, Akshaye Khanna and Rahul Khanna. Let us tell you that Vinod Khanna was such an actor who did not work on Sundays. He had become a huge superstar. He had a lot of money but there was no peace in life, due to which he went to Guru Osho's ashram in America. Vinod Khanna stayed in the ashram there for about 5 years. In those 5 years, he did a lot of work, even cleaning toilets and becoming a gardener. When he returned from America, his wife Gitanjali divorced him. After this his family was broken.   

Vinod Khanna married Kavita for the second time to overcome the loneliness of his life. With whom today he has a son and a daughter. After returning from America, Vinod Khanna once again started in Bollywood with the film 'Insaaf' but he did not get justice. Vinod Khanna was suffering from cancer for a long time. He died on 27 April 2017.
