Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu): The fourth day of the Congress Party's "Bharat Jodo Yatra" was continued on Saturday by party officials from Mulagumoodu in Kanyakumari, and it is anticipated to enter Kerala by this evening.

Along with other party officials, Congressman Rahul Gandhi set out on their mission to unite India.
Rahul Gandhi stated earlier on Friday that the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" is an effort to repair the harm the BJP and RSS have caused.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was also criticised by the Wayanad-based Congress MP for "grabbing control of all institutions."  He stated, "We have carried out this yatra against the destruction and enmity that BJP's ideology has created to this country. For us, this yatra is to connect with the people.
The Congress MP said, "BJP has gained control of all the institutions of this country and pressure via them. We are no longer fighting as a political party. The fight is now between the Indian state structure and the opposition.
There are two opposing ideas of India, one of which is rigid and controlling while the other is plural and open-minded. The war between them has been going on for a few thousand years, and it will continue, the speaker continued.
Anurag Thakur, a union minister, claimed on Friday that India is already unified under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, taking a jab at the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Rahul Gandhi is currently on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, but Prime Minister Modi has already brought India together, according to Thakur.
We can't let the country get divided and must work with unity to move it ahead, he continued. "There is not even a Rs 1 fraud charge against the Modi government. The double-engine (BJP) government in both the Centre and State has worked together to drive the state and country forward.

Jugal Thakor Lokhandwala, a Rajya Sabha member for the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), disagreed, claiming that this was actually a "Nafarat failayo Yatra" and not the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave Congress leaders advice on where to fill their cars to save money while criticising the Bharat Jodo Yatra of the party. Puri claimed that when travelling 3,500 km through 12 states, Congress representatives can save between Rs 1,050 and Rs 2,205 each diesel vehicle.

J P Nadda, the head of the BJP, referred to the Congress as the party of a "brother and sister" and emphasised that his own party was opposed to dynastic culture in what appeared to be an attack on Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.
"The Congress is a party of siblings. Chief Minister Bhagel frequently attends "Bharat Jodo" rallies these days, but they must first unite their own party. Family politics are what we're fighting against, added Nadda.

Rahul Gandhi will embark on a 3,500-kilometer march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir that will take 150 days to complete and pass through up to 12 states.

The Yatra will begin its journey in Kerala on September 11 and travel through the state for the following 18 days before arriving in Karnataka on September 30. The Yatra will stay in Karnataka for 21 days before continuing its journey north.

The purpose of the Congress' "Bharat Jodo Yatra" is to raise awareness of the risks of economic inequality, social polarisation, and political centralization among the populace as well as to challenge the BJP-led Centre's divisive tactics.

Senior Congress officials including Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will attend the padayatras, rallies, and public meetings that will be part of the yatra.

The arrangements have been made keeping in mind the intense heat and humidity with the change in places. Notably, all the party MPs, leaders, and workers, along with Rahul Gandhi, are staying. Sleeping beds, toilets, and AC are also installed in some of the containers. During the journey, the temperature and environment will differ in many areas.

The assembly elections were a disaster for the Congress, and the Yatra is considered as an effort to galvanise the party's base ahead of the 2018 elections.
