Washington: In a city in the United States, there is a ruckus over the Bible, the holy book of Christians. The Christian scripture has been banned in schools on the grounds that it mentions "violence and obscenity". For this reason, it is not right for children. A US district has banned it for primary and middle school students.

According to the report, the Davis School District North in Salt Lake City, Utah, has removed the Bible from the school curriculum. More than 72 thousand children study in this school. Apart from the Bible, Sherman Alexei's "The Absolutely True Diary of Part Time Indian" and John Green's "Looking for Alaska" have also been dropped from the syllabus. The decision was taken unanimously by a committee of parents, teachers and local authorities. However, it is not clear which part of the Bible is objected to. However, in the complaint, the parents have said that the Bible mentions "incest, prostitution and rape".

According to the report, a parent complained on December 11, in which it was written, "Parents in Utah have left a book that mentions sex the most. That is the Bible. You will have no doubt that the Bible (under state law) has no moral values for children, because by our new definition it falls under pornographic."    Under which the committee can take its own decision in case of various challenges considering the age of the students. That's why the Bible isn't banned in high school. According to the report, questions have been raised about the Bible in America before. The Bible is the most challenged book in the American Library Association's list. Last year, it was temporarily removed from the libraries of schools in Texas and Missouri.
