Ranchi: The violence case, which demanded the arrest of suspended BJP leader Nupu Sharma for allegedly making objectionable remarks in connection with Prophet Muhammad, has now come to light. According to the latest information, about a dozen people had come to Ranchi from Saharanpur in UP a week before the violence.
It is being said that these persons incited Muslim youth to protest and to violence. Most of the protesters in Ranchi were young people and these youths were instigated on the basis of religion by the people who came from Saharanpur. Senior police officers reported this. Now a police team is engaged to identify the persons who came to Ranchi from Saharanpur.
After the violence in Ranchi, the administration has imposed Section 144. Now additional security forces have been deployed along with Section 144 in 12 police station areas of Ranchi. An SIT has also been formed here. The administration has also extended the suspension on internet services till tomorrow. It will now be interrupted until Sunday. In Jharkhand, after the curfew order, the police are warning people to stay indoors and not to step out without an emergency. Many people and policemen were injured in the violence in Jharkhand. The condition of many of these injured persons is said to be serious.
