Lucknow: A major incident of negligence has come to light at a government hospital in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri, due to which a patient died. In fact, in the dialysis centre of the district hospital, a man without a doctor (nephrologist) was put on dialysis, due to which his life was lost. Regarding the death of the patient, the HOSPITAL CMS Madan Lal said that an inquiry has been ordered. Whoever has operated on the unit will be asked for an explanation as to who and why the unit was allowed to operate without the presence of any doctor.

Madan Lal, CMS of the district hospital, said, "Due to the inspection, I came to know that one patient has died. "Earlier also, when he visited the dialysis unit along with the Additional Director of Medical Health, Family Welfare, there was a case of not being a doctor.

The CMS said, "No doctor (nephrologist) was present in the dialysis unit on the day the patient died. Earlier also, the Additional Director had given a stern warning that the dialysis unit should not be operated without a doctor," CMS MadanLal said, adding that it has become clear that doctors were not available in the dialysis unit, yet the unit was operated which is not correct. He said that now the dialysis unit will be stopped operating till nephrologists are available on the PPP model. Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni inaugurated the dialysis unit at Lakhimpur Kheri district hospital on April 11 last month.
