According to Sources, The assembly elections in Bihar can be held in two or three stages. Apart from this, the commission is considering to create a separate booth for Corona infected people. Earlier, the Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar had said in the program of the Department of Rural Affairs that the election dates will be announced in September. Accordingly to sources, the number of booths will be increased to 50 percent to avoid congestion. Last year, 72,000 booths were built across the state and this time more than one and a half lakh booths can be set up. Such arrangements will be made that a booth does not have more than 1,000 people.

Apart from this, political parties will conduct electoral meetings and visits for the elections, but they have to follow the physical distancing. The Election Commission will decide the place for the election meeting in advance and the Election Commission will also issue guidelines regarding this. Apart from this, separate booths will be prepared for the corona infected patients, in which the workers will come wearing PPE kit to vote. However, full support and arrangement will be made that the polling personnel cannot touch the EVM machine. Physical distance will be followed at the booth.
