Patna: The third and final phase of elections in Bihar is scheduled on Saturday. The campaign for this also stopped on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, Independent candidate Ravindra Nath Singh alias Chintu Singh of Hayaghat Assembly of Darbhanga has been reported to have been shot. Unidentified assailants shot Chintu Singh late Thursday. According to the information received, his condition is critical and he has been admitted to the hospital.

According to TV reports, they were returning to their village Dugauli late Thursday night when they finished the campaign. Meanwhile, some people came in front of his car and stopped him. After this, the miscreants started firing indiscriminately. Chintu Singh was injured and fell there. Chintu Singh has been admitted to DMCH. At the same time, the police is investigating the entire case. At the moment it is not clear who the miscreants were who shot and what could be the reason behind this incident. After Chintu Singh regains consciousness, his statement will also be taken.

Independent candidate Chintu Singh from Hayaghat Assembly constituency faces RJD's Bhola Yadav and BJP's Ramchandra Sah. It is being told that Chintu Singh is giving a tough fight to RJD and BJP. Two days before this, Sanjay Das, a candidate from Kalyanpur assembly seat in Samastipur district of Bihar, was shot dead by some miscreants. According to the police, an FIR was registered against the accused named Guddu Das and three unidentified assailants at the Mufassil police station on the statement of Sanjay Das, who was injured in the incident. The main accused Guddu Das aka Guddu Kumar was also arrested. There was a matter of property dispute in this incident.
