Siwan: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Tourism Minister Narayan Prasad had reached Siwan district of the state on Thursday. He held a review meeting with officials and public representatives at the Siwan Zilla Parishad. The meeting reviewed the corona epidemic, floods and development works. District Collectors, public representatives and officials were present.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, the Health Minister said that the government is on alert over the third wave of corona. From availability of medical oxygen to provision of ward building in medical colleges, restoration of mercury medical staff, restoration of ANM etc. are being carried out expeditiously. The state government is fully alert about the possibility of a third wave.

Health Minister Mangal Pandey further said, "As far as Delta Plus variant is concerned, more than 100 samples from the state have just been sent to Bhubaneswar lab for testing. No delta plus case has been reported in Bihar so far. If any such information comes, then it will be acted upon."
