Panaji: A major conspiracy has been unearthed to implicate a cabinet minister of the BJP government in Goa in a sex scandal. This was disclosed by the victim herself. The woman has asked a minister to help her. The revelations have revealed the name of a Congress leader as the main conspirator. A deal of Rs 10 lakh was also made by the same Congress leader in the name of making a video of the minister. In this entire case, there is talk of the Congress leader taking advantage of the woman's compulsion.

It may be recalled that on November 30, Goa Congress unit president Girish Chodankar, while holding a press conference, had accused a Goa minister of sexually abusing a woman. He had also claimed to have evidence in the form of a video. He had also given an ultimatum to remove the minister within 15 days from state CM Pamod Sawant. Goa CM Pramod Sawant had announced his dismissal from the cabinet after allegations were proved against his minister over Girish Chodankar's statement. He had assured strict action, in any case, asking him to produce evidence. According to media reports, the victim herself has now come to the fore in the case. She is said to be a resident of Bettiah in Bihar. The victim has dismissed the allegations of sexual abuse against the minister.

The victim has made a big revelation that a Goa Congress leader had made an advance payment of Rs 2 lakh in a 10 lakh deal to make a video with her. The woman has now lodged an FIR against the 4 accused who made her video at Mufassil police station in Bihar. The woman has said that she had been living in Goa with her husband since 2007. Her husband died in an accident in May 2018. The minister helped her a lot in getting compensation for her husband's death. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the woman's compulsion, Congress leader Sankalp Amonkar along with Yashwant Gonshekar, Sanu alias Prajot, Damodar Divkar and two unidentified persons made audio and videos of her. He was then edited from the computer and made viral on the Internet. The woman had returned home to Bettiah in Bihar in June 2018. Here she found out that her name was coming up in a sex scandal.

The woman finally edited her audio video and lodged an FIR against the accused who made it viral on the internet. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of the Rangadari, Molestation, Conspiracy and IT Act. According to Mufassil police station in-charge Ugranath Jha, "The case of registering zero FIR in the case has been transferred to Margao police station in south Goa. Even though the woman lives in their police station area, the case is from Goa. So, now, further investigation will be conducted by the Goa Police.
