The Tamil Nadu Assembly in a special session has passed the bill on Jallikattu. It has allowed the conduction of bull-taming sport Jallikattu.
Yesterday, in Chennai the protest by the supporters of the sport took a violent turn in which many protesters got injured. They even set a fire on police station and vehicles. The police started lathicharge in various parts of the state.
As per the reports, senior police officer PK Kannan in Chennai said “Jallikattu will be celebrated. We urge the protesters to go back home immediately”.
Yesterday, in the morning the police officials removed the protesterd from Chennai's Marina Beach.
