Bhubaneswar (Odisha), India: After winning all 30 Zilla Parishad President seats in the state, the ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) attributed the victory to voters' faith in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's leadership and the state government's pro-poor and pro-development efforts.
"The Biju Janata Dal's overwhelming win has once again validated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's strong leadership and proven that progress has no parallel," the party declared on Monday.
"This victory is worth 4.5 crores Odias and will benefit Odisha's development. It is historic because it is the first time in Odisha that any political party has constituted a Zilla Parishad in all 30 districts. As a result, this is a one-of-a-kind and historic event for Odisha. "
While the BJD claims that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's focus on the flag-bearers of development - women, youth, and educated - will take Odisha to new heights of growth and development, the BJD claims that the Chief Minister's faith in women leadership and the cause of women empowerment has resulted in the election of twenty-one women as Zilla Parishad Presidents, a total of seven women.
