Ranchi: Reacting strongly to the Jharkhand government's stand on the communal violence in Hazaribagh, the BJP said on Thursday that the state government is doing the politics of appeasement even in the ruthless murder of the boy by the mob. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jharkhand unit president Deepak Prakash termed the state government's stand on the mob lynching of 17-year-old Rupesh Pandey in Hazaribagh on February 6 due to the immersion of the Saraswati idol as completely one-sided and anti-Hindu. Meanwhile, against the said incident, Bharatiya Janata Party took out torch procession in all the cities of the state on Thursday and burnt the effigy of the state government.

Earlier, thousands of Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party workers took to the streets in Barhi on 6th February against the brutal murder of Rupesh Pandey in all the cities of the state with torches in their hands and raised slogans against the state government. Bharatiya Janata Party workers demanded the hanging of the killers of Rupesh and the arrest of those named in the mob lynching. While attending the program organized by Ranchi metropolis, Bharatiya Janata Party state president and MP Deepak Prakash attacked the state government fiercely. Prakash said, 'This government is doing the politics of appeasement even in mob lynching.

The law and order situation in the state is appalling. The culprits are succeeding in killing whomever they want. The administration is proving to be a complete failure. He said that there has been a flood of incidents of mob lynching in the state. Prakash alleged that no one is safe in Jharkhand, including women, tribals, people from backward classes. The Bharatiya Janata Party leader said that till now during the tenure of this government in the state, there have been more than 10 incidents of mob lynching. He alleged that the way in the past, on the day of Saraswati Puja immersion, the house's lamp, Rupesh Pandey, was brutally murdered by the mob, it is a matter of shame to the state.
