New Delhi: In a meeting of the Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held on Saturday evening, the party has discussed the names of the remaining candidates for the assembly elections. The party has so far announced the names of 29 candidates. Now, he is yet to announce 81 more candidates. In an alliance with JD (U), the BJP will be the candidate for 121 seats in the diocese, out of which it has given 11 seats to its ally VIP.

PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also present along with party chief J P Nadda in a two and a half hour meeting at the BJP headquarters on Saturday. According to sources, the party has completed the discussion on the name for most of the seats and will soon announce it. It may be mentioned that the BJP's ally Janata Dal (U) has announced the names of all the candidates of their share. Under the bifurcation, JD (U) has got 122 seats, out of which 7 seats have been given to the ally Hindustan Awam Morcha.

The meeting also deliberated on the new circumstances after the demise of Union minister and LOJPA leader Ram Vilas Paswan. The BJP is going to start its election campaign from Sunday. Party president J P Nadda will visit the public meeting. PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also start public meetings from next week.
