New Delhi: BJP MLA Kalidas Kolambkar has been appointed as the Protem Speaker amidst a political upsurge in Maharashtra. After the order of the top court on Tuesday, there was a race among the leaders of the various parties for the Protem Speaker. It was believed that Balasaheb Thorat, the president of the Congress state unit and leader of the legislative party, could be made a pro tem speaker, but in this race, BJP MLA Kalidas has secured the first position.
