BJP president JP Nadda took to microblogging site today to announce that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has isolated himself at home. Mr Nadda, 60, said due to some initial symptoms he got tested for Corona and the report turned to be Covid 19 positive. He added, My health is fine, following all the guidelines in home isolation on the advice of doctors. My request is, whoever has come in contact in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get yourself checked.

The BJP president had been maintaining an active schedule and had visited Uttarakhand and West Bengal recently. Lot of people wished the senior BJP leader a speedy recovery on Twitter including Union Minister Smriti Irani who tweeted, "Get well soon sir." Former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted: "Wishing you a very speedy recovery Mananeeya Adhyaksh JP Nadda ji. Get well soon! Maharashtra awaits to welcome you soon."
