Ranchi: The controversy over separate allotment of rooms for prayers in Jharkhand assembly is on the rise. The Jharkhand assembly erupted today with slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. BJP MLAs perform kirtan with dholak and jhal and ask for quashing of the decision. The BJP has been opposing the appeasement of the Hemant Soren government since the order was issued in this regard.

On the second day of the monsoon session, BJP MLAs raised slogans opposing the decision. When the House was adjourned, he protested by performing kirtan outside. Viranchi Narayan, Samri Lal, Manish Jaiswal, Amar Kumar Bauri, Shashi Bhushan Mehta and other BJP MLA were present in the kirtan. Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, on behalf of the government, took a stand on behalf of the government after reading Hanuman Chalisa outside the House. Earlier, BJP leader Viranchi Das had said, "The government has taken a decision under which a room has been allotted in the Assembly where Muslim members can offer prayers.''

Viranchi Das said that ''When Muslim communities can offer prayers, why not read Hindu-based Hanuman Chalisa. Assembly Speaker that just as you have allotted a room for the Muslim community to offer prayers, at least five rooms should be allotted or a hall allotted to us for Hanuman Chalisa, because we are more in number.”
