Ahmedabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its second list of six candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections. Earlier, the BJP had released a list of 160 candidates. Voting for the 182-member Gujarat Assembly will be held in two phases. Gujarat will go to polls in two phases on December 1 and 5 and the results will be declared on December 8.

In the second list, BJP has nominated Mahendrabhai Padaliya from Dhoraji. Mulubhai Bera has been given the ticket from Khambhalia, while Dheliben Maldebhai has been given the ticket from Kutiana by the BJP. Sejal Rajeev Kumar Pandya has been fielded by the BJP from Bhavnagar East. BJP has nominated Hitesh Devji from Dediapada. BJP has given ticket to Sandeep Desai from Choryasi. Let us tell you that in the first list, BJP has re-nominated 69 sitting MLAs in the state. At the same time, BJP has cut the tickets of 38 MLAs. As per the first list, BJP has given tickets to 38 new faces in the list of 160 candidates.

Let us tell you that there are a total of 182 assembly seats in Gujarat. Last time the BJP had won 99 seats, while the Congress had won 79 seats. At the same time, 4 seats had come in the account of others. In this election too, the BJP is trying to continue its winning streak, while the Congress is trying its best to end the long-standing drought of power. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is claiming to form the government, defeating the BJP and the Congress.
