Raipur: About 200 workers of BJP and BJYM were arrested for showing black flags to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur on Thursday (February 3). Let us inform that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had gone to Raipur on a one-day tour. There he started the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Along with this, the foundation stone of two projects was also laid. In view of this, Chhattisgarh Police had driven out BJP and BJYM workers from 10 different places including VIP Road Chowk in the morning.

However, some protesters managed to reach the Ring Road and showed black flags to Rahul Gandhi when he was going to the venue along with CM Bhupesh Baghel. The same Raipur Police said that a total of 192 protesters were arrested and they were granted bail in the evening. Due to this, BJP leader and former minister Rajesh Maunat was also arrested from Jai Stambh Chowk. He said that demonstration is part of democracy, but democracy is a sham under Congress rule. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and former CM Raman Singh made several tweets.

He asked many questions to Rahul Gandhi regarding the functioning of the Congress government in the state. He wrote, 'Rahul Gandhi, you are visiting Raipur. We welcome you, but the youth, women, farmers, soldiers, laborers and daughters of Chhattisgarh are suffering due to the wrong policies of the Congress government of the state. So I want to ask you some questions. Hope you will definitely answer them.' He wrote, 'Why did the Congress government fail to impose a complete ban on liquor even after making promises in the election manifesto? At the same time, why was unemployment allowance not given to the youth? Raman Singh claimed that the Congress had made 36 promises in its manifesto, but did not fulfill any.
