PATNA: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi praised RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav's sentencing in the fodder scam on Monday, saying the court made the right decision. It is correctly said “as you sow, so shall you reap," she explained.

Earlier in the day, a special CBI court in Ranchi sentenced Lalu Yadav to five years in prison and fined him Rs 60 lakh for illegally withdrawing Rs 139.35 crore from the Doranda treasury in 1997.

Mangal Pandey, a BJP lawmaker and Health Minister, said: "Several publicised scams occurred during the 15-year period of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi's government. Everything now takes place in a court of law, and we have faith in the legal system and its justice." In response to BJP officials' assertions, RJD state president Jagadanand Singh said: "

Many leaders like Renu Devi, believes that the “RJD will fall apart if Lalu Prasad is imprisoned. Our party has consolidated its position as the state's single largest political force." "RJD is more than a political party; it is a beacon of hope for the people of Bihar, and Lalu Prasad is the party's most active worker. He has a place in the hearts of ordinary people that no one can take away from him "Singh remarked.
