Lucknow: Dr Jitendra Kumar, associate professor posted in the medicine department of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), is yet to be arrested. Dr Jitendra Kumar had made derogatory and indecent remarks about Hindu gods and goddesses. Hundreds of BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers went to the Civil Lines police station and protested against it. BJYM activists had also raised slogans like 'Shoot the traitors of AMU-Shoot'. During this time the heavy police force was deployed at the civil line police station.

In fact, assistant professor Dr Jitendra Kumar had written derogatory things in the points shown on the projector during the lecture hurting the sentiments of Hinduism, after which his photo went viral on social media. The AMU administration had issued a show-cause notice to assistant professor Dr Jitendra Kumar asking him to respond within 24 hours. BJYM Mahanagar president Aman Gupta said that AMU professor Dr Jitendra Kumar has made derogatory and indecent remarks about Hindu deities. It is not tolerated. 

He further said that the people of the Hindu religion are very angry and hurt by derogatory remarks. We demand the arrest of Professor Jitendra Kumar and termination of service. We demand from the VC that such a professor should be dismissed immediately. So that no other person can make such a derogatory comment.
